Monty brought us up to date on some of the things that need to be concerned with Medicare Part ‘D’. He told us that the plan is a voluntary plan and has the smallest number of options this year. Monty said that the sign-up period is from Oct. 14-Dec. 7 and that you should evaluate your Part ‘D’ coverage every year. He explained that 7 out of 10 people never change their plans. He went on to say that the cheaper plans are not always the best. Monty said to avoid plans that offer only preferred pharmacists.
Monty insisted that mail-order pharmacies are a no-no. He says they get people calling about the wrong medicine received or sent to the wrong person…Bad News!
