6/10 Speaker: Matt Stinchfield – Ploughshare Brewing

“Microbrewing with Benefits”, that’s the way Matt described his business.  Matt gave a great overview of his life and passion for chemistry.  He came from the east coast, where he dedicated much of his life to preservation and conservation clean-up.  Though, his true passion has come to life and he puts great emphasis on the quality and attention put into his craft beer.

Even down to the barn wood used on the inside of Ploughshare Brewing’s tasting room, Matt’s attention to detail and focus on the little things seemed to set him apart.  Even down to not having any TV’s in his space.

Matt talked about the challenges with finding brewing equipment and installers due to the boom that’s happening in the craft beer industry.  He also gave us insight into the challenge in raising capital to help get him started.  Matt showed a lot of passion for his work and is excited to grow his business in downtown Lincoln.
