Andy took us through his background as a police officer as well as the County Treasurer position. He provided an insight into some changes made to improve the system. He focused on efficiencies gained at the DMV, which has provided a significant cost savings.
Andy also highlighted his understanding and needs of public safety agencies. He discussed with us the needs of the local police and fire and rescue divisions. He feels that a fresh, new approach to the needs of our community are much needed.

The club President asked John Bernthal to give an overview of the three speech and hearing programs in which we provide support. John described the differences between the Barcley Center, Nebraska Sertoma Hearing Aid Bank and HearU Nebraska.
The club will be voting on two sponsorships recommended by the committee and board. $1,000 approved for Brownell School teacher training and $2,000 for the Nebraska Sertoma Hearing Aid Bank.
Heath distributed golf event brochures and described that there is a place to register online, Gateway Sertoma Golf Event Registration.
Do you have hearing aids? Hearing Aid Bank is accepting used hearing aids to be refurbished. Bring them in to our weekly meeting and they’ll be taken to the Barkley Center.
It was noted that we have space for two additional advertisers in the bulletin for $100 each.
