Randy gave us an overview of the new company started by Firespring, called Non Profit Hub. It’s located downtown above the old Boomer’s Printing building.
Randy explained how they help non profit groups by supplying office space and the benefits of shared equipment and utilities. It’s best suited for small non profits just starting out, helping them gain efficiencies. Randy said you must be a 501 (c) 3 organization or a for profit organization doing charitable work for the community. The spaces are rented on a month to month basis.
OTHER MEETING NOTES…
Sertoman of the Day (SOD)
Clues: This SOD’s first job was the same as Tom’s; He has one of each; He paid for Big Ben, but not the one in England; He has something in common with Cape Canaveral; He has some Plainsman in him; He worked for over 38 years at the telephone company…
The SOD took every clue we had… Don Piersol
Please keep these Sertomans in your prayers: Al Borchardt, Dick Finke, Larry Thorne (wife Jean), Johnny Robinson, Bill Bennett.
We are in need of some new faces at our meetings. It’s time to start thinking about who might be good prospects to become a Gateway Sertoma Member. Invite them to breakfast and have them try it out.
Do you have hearing aids? Hearing Aid Bank is accepting used hearing aids to be refurbished. Bring them in to our weekly meeting and they’ll be taken to the Barkley Center.
DONT FORGET TO BRING IN THOSE BOX TOPS!
