Pat is a volunteer with the American Cancer Society Relay For Life. She gave some great reason’s why it’s important to support this year’s Relay at Haymarket Park on June 27-28.
Pat explained that the donations stay in Nebraska and support five main purposes: business expenses, event expenses, Education primarily for pre-teen, Advocacy Research and patient services such as 24-hour hotline. Pat said that cancer is the number one cause of death in children and the Relay For Life is a great way to help.

June 5th is our annual golf event at HiMark golf course. We need club member to help us with golf balls. This year we are providing each golfer with a Gateway Sertoma/Tabitha logoed golf balls. We are asking each member to contribute $22.50 to help offset this expense.
We also need help securing golf teams and sponsors. Anyone interested can go to this page, Gateway Sertoma Golf Event Registration.
Spence is taking over our volunteer duties for Tabitha Meals on Wheels. He will organize each month’s volunteers and is hoping to start delivering a second route each month. Thanks to Ron McNulty for getting this started and to Spence for taking it on. If you’d like to volunteer to deliver, contact Spence.
Ambassador Night at Risky’s is on Tuesday, April 7th. We are in need of some new faces at our meetings.
It’s time to start thinking about who might be good prospects to become a Gateway Sertoma Member. Invite them to breakfast and have them try it out.
Do you have hearing aids? Hearing Aid Bank is accepting used hearing aids to be refurbished. Bring them in to our weekly meeting and they’ll be taken to the Barkley Center.
DONT FORGET TO BRING IN THOSE BOX TOPS!
